Stable sprinkler base
I purchased this to use with the Rain Bird sprinkler. It does the job well. One thing that I had to learn was the base holds water which has rust in it. When you disconnect this from the hose be sure that you empty the ring base and don't soak yourself with rusty water.

Just What I Needed
This impulse sprinkler base is exactly what I needed for smaller areas, when a tower sprinkler has too much coverage. It's light and easy to place and move. Good quality.
Does a great job
I don't really know what competes with this product. If (like I did) you have a spike type impulse sprinkler that you want to covert to a portable, or for some reason just wish to select your own sprinkler head, then this is what you need. If (like I did) you buy a sprinkler with a good sprinkler head and a cheap plastic base, and you crack the base by over-tightening when you put it together, then this is what you need. Regardless, it creates a very stable base for an impulse sprinkler. Being made of iron it will eventually rust. Everything made of iron will eventually rust.

You Can Do It
My wife ran over this sprinkler head with the lawn mower and shattered it completely. I first thought to call the repair company as this seemed like a complicated job.But somebody told me it was a simple screw it off screw it on job.You know like changing a light bulb. So I started to look for a replacement part. I tried Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, no luck. Then I saw it on Amazon. The only thing to know about this is there are two ways to install this sprinkler head. The most common way is the screw on screw off way. The other way, my situation, is to plug the bottom port and use an elbow fitting that friction fits to a plastic hose. Either way you can do it yourself! Just dig up the broken one install it,and twist the spray head in the right direction and you are done. This is a very long sprinkler so you have have to dig down pretty deep but I just used a hand trowel and my hands. 18" Flexible Orbit Tubing
This is an excellent sprinkler head tubing if you need to connect the underground threaded PVC pipe to your sprinkler head, and the measurements are angled and slightly off, or if the connector is in this spot, but you need to put the head in that spot a few inches out of the way. It's also useful if the head is very long, and you need to use the head's side connector. It prevents you from having to dig too much.

This flexible tubing has spinnable ends, making it a cinch to connect while the head is in the ground. One thing to look out for is make sure the tube you get is indeed the 18 inch one, as I found that the smaller ones have a tendency to kink too much, preventing the pop-ups from functioning properly. If you prevent kinking, it works great. I am currently using 4 of them with great results.

Clogging can be an issue
A fair portion of our half acre has planters, a "design" area of ice plant, a hedge, and a 15 x 40 garden. A previous home up in the foothills had numerous planters as well. Point is we have been using a lot of drip irrigation and the various tube sizes, emitters, sprinklers, etc. We have found that for our type of vegetation, too much water comes out of this particular style. So be sure you are using this for the correct type of water volume need. Also, we are finding that the openings clog and sometimes wear to where there is a find stream (similar to what you would see with a puncture leak) instead of a drip, which in some cases seems to be a wearing of the emitter portion.

The 12-inch spacing will also be an issue if you use this on the wrong type of irrigation. We thought our ice plant spacing would be a good match but there were gaps in water area coverage. Not an issue with the product, more an issue with using it for the wrong irrigation need. We have...

Threads don't match my impulse head
I like the design, weight and inherent stability of this product. My one MAJOR complaint is that it comes fine threaded and my standard rainbird impulse head would not screw in until I bought a 14 pitch tap (another $11) to make suitable threads to screw into. I have no idea why it would not have the same thread pitch as a very common impulse head. Otherwise it is a superior design that will never tip over and will last a lifetime.

Impulse sprinkers would work their way out of the ground with the spike, but with this Yard Butler their is no worry about that and it doesn't tip over.

Durable and large
I ordered this box to house 3 new valves when I moved some irrigation lines in preparation for a house addition. The knock-out covers on the pipe holes are a cool feature - the covers are replaceable once you knock them out and run the pipe through, which makes the opening a little smaller and helps prevent dirt from coming in the box. However I used 1" pvc through the smaller holes and it was too big allow the covers to be replaced - not a big deal. This box has 3 holes on each end for the main line, and 2 sides - one with 3 holes and one with 4 holes for the valve outputs, so it can hold only 1 - 4 valves. Looking at the picture, we can see the 3 hole end, and the 4 hole side. The distance between where the main line comes in on the ends, through the valves, and out the sides, could be larger by a few inches (hence the 4 stars). This box won't be useful on existing valve set-ups - it's really for new installs only. I do like the fact that there's no holes in the cover for lizards,...

Quality product
I purchased 2 of these boxes because they are stackable. I had a shutoff valve that was 20" deep so I stacked them to achieve a depth of 24". They have interlocking lugs which seem to hold them together well but I drilled several holes and installed bolts to insure they wouldn't separate when the hole was filled around them. The bases are very thick and solid. They have knockouts which can be removed to run the pipe through. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

small diameter
I purchased this tubing to make an dripline system for the garden. I laid out the tubing CUT it to lenths needed and tried to assemble with the pushlock 1/2 inch fittings I had bought. The tubing slid in nicely, slid right back out just as easily. First thought defective fitting. Read the fitting package, made to fit .690" to .710" O.D. tubing, this is the normal size for 1/2 inch tubing. Read the tubing package O.D. .630". Reread product description on Amazon, no place in the product description does it state the O.D. of the tubing or that special fittings may be required. Off to purchase barb type fittings that I didn't want use. The tubing seems to be OK but I probably would not have purchased if the description had said it was thin wall tubing.

1/2" tubing
This item was exactly what I was looking for. I also purchased 1/2 and full pattern micro-sprayers at the same time.
They connected and functioned as advertised and and as I expected. The units all came well packaged and on time.
I recently installed a micro watering systems in 8 of our 12 gardens...I have no exact way to measure it but I am 100% sure that our watering usage has dropped like a rock over the same time last year.
The seller emailed to let me know that this item was coming wrapped in shrink wrap not in a box. I thought that was thoughtful and professional to set proper expectations...nice touch.

I ordered the product listed here, in brown, but Grady's Online sent me the product in black. Not what I wanted, however I won't ding the product for their incompetence. It works quite well, even in black.

Most of what you need you can find at your local big box store for a good price, but I couldn't find a body this long here except though a lawn care service. They gouged me on the price and after that I went to trusty amazon. These are great sprinklers and easy to change. They just screw on and off like most. Make sure you order a nozzle or save the one from your old sprinkler.

Great Misting system for the Price
I purchased one of these a few weeks back at the local big box store for a friends patio. Orbit, if your not already aware is primarily a sprinkler company. Misting products is an obvious extension of their core business. I only mention that since name recognition was a factor in this purchase. I have used their products before and felt comfortable with them.

Having absolutely no experience in misting products or knowing the difference between a High-pressure system and a Low-pressure system at the time. I have to say this product, for the price, delivers what it says. If you have ever dealt with, installed or repaired a sprinkler system you will have no problem installing this, all pipe and fittings are 1/2" Sch 40 PVC and the kit comes with a uni-bond cement, meaning you don't need the purple primer. This simplifies things and speeds installation.

The kit includes 5 solid brass misting nozzles(lesser kits are plastic) and a very nice solid brass auto...

Florida Mist
This is by far the best Mist system I have anstalled. It looks prof. and get lots of compliments. Install is very easy. took about 2 hrs. I changed the mist heads each spring. I suggest getting the filter to help keep the nozzles clean. I have had this for over two years and still works great. Pic above is this summer

Excellent product shipping too expensive
I have used RainBirds dripline system for over 10 years and have learned two things; try to buy your parts from a Rainbird dealer since the quality is higher and these 1/2 inch Rainbird Barbed Couplings always work. Note, other 1/2 inch couplings never work :)
I found the same coupler at [...] and shipping was only $3 versus $9 on Amazon.

Worth the extra $$ for emitters
Just bought and installed 300 feet of this dripline...no problems, and glad I spent the extra money for this emitter hose vs. plain tubing. This tubing does kink though, so be sure to lay it out flat and I'd recommend using ground-anchor-spikes to keep the line from twisting. Overall, it's a good product, cuts easy with scissors, and connects easy with 1/2" Rain Bird fittings. Mark in NY

Good Drip System
We have 150' of retaining wall that we needed irrigated. We had irrigation installed under the wall when it was built and just attached this to the Rainbird sprinkler kit that we bought separately. It did have a few kinks but overall it's a nice item. The only downside it that there aren't really clear instructions as to how to set it up. The rainbird site has a few tutorials to guide you to setting them up. A few additional pieces are needed to actually get this setup, like the end closures and the galvanized stakes are handy.
Great Service... Incredible value
After lots of searching with both, in person and online, I found this emitter tubing at one of Amazon's suppliers. Grady's online was fast, efficient, and this tubing was an incredible value.

They shipped it fast, and the quality of this rainbird product was great. I had been taken advantage of by a retail store for dripline tubing. They sold me a netafim line, that kinked and cut itself during installation. So, I found this at amazon from Grady and I couldn't be happier. It was both, stronger and more flexible than netafim. And it installed so easily with the Ez connect fittings I already had.

Worked like a charm!
This Orbit Pro-Series Extractor worked like a charm! Orbit's other nipple extractor kit Orbit Sprinkler System 1/2-Inch & 3/4-Inch Plastic Pipe Nipple Extractor 26076 didn't work at all. I tried the other extractor first, and it wouldn't grip, kept slipping, and was generally useless. I was afraid I might have completely chewed up the inside of the riser I was trying to extract, and would have to cut the pipe itself and re-install. But, then I found the Orbit Pro Series extractor. This one had sharper teeth on it, and even on that chewed up riser I had such a tough time with, it worked great! The broken riser came right out and I was able to put a new one in with no problem. I would most definitely recommend the pro-series extractor over Orbit's other product.
