Best features, simplest to use, and least expensive
All water timers do basically the same thing, but some require cryptic routines to set the timers. Older designs don't even use digital readout.
This timer is so straightforward, there's nothing to figure out. The large dial and readout is perfect for my aging eyes. You just turn the dial to whatever setting you want to change, then adjust it to the exact minute.
I'm using 6 of these - the clocks are synchronized and the timers set so that they all run at different times in the night.
For example, one zone is just pots on the deck, with drippers. 12 minutes twice a day seems just about right. As it gets hotter, bumping it up to 14 or 15 minutes will take 10 seconds. It's nice to control it with this precision.

Simply perfect
Perfect item! Surprisingly solid design for the price. Simple navigation. Enough settings, but not too much to make it too complicated.

Previously I purchased one item to test on my back yard, then after using it for a few weeks, I decided to purchase the same model for my front yard. Now I don't have to worry about watering.

I thought it would be useful to give a few more details about watering options:

HOW LONG: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.

HOW OFTEN: every 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days.

MANUAL: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.

Manual mode is managed by a dedicated button, so using it does not affect your automatic settings and they remain unchanged.

When set to start in manual mode, it gives a few seconds before starting. I find it quite useful as my hose outlet is on the other side of the yard, and I have enough time to get of the way...
Good Product
I have only had this item for about two weeks but it is working out great. I believe the product is well built and it does exactly what it intends to do. I like to call it my poor man's sprinkler system. It works just as well as a sprinkler system since I hid my hose under my xeri-scaped rock bed. Just be sure to buy a "Y" valve for the faucet so you can still have a hose attached that you can water stuff on your own. I also like the manual setting where you can just push the button and change the amount of time whenever you want if you just put seed down,etc. to help moisten the area immediately. I will recommend this to all my friends.

Seems to be good
Hi, this item seems to work as designed. It is easy to program and has many flexible programming methods. Over-all I think it is a good product. It has a solenoid to open and close the water valve. This seems to be better than the geared type which I replaced with this unit. I will update if there is any change. I have been using the unit for 4 months. Works good.

Works fine but does cause water hammer
I have used the Orbit 62061N water timer for one vegetable growing season and it works as advertised and is very easy to program. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it shuts off so fast that it causes water hammer in the pipes.
Stops working
I purchased two of these based on the strong recommendations on Amazon a few months ago. One no longer works (it shows the time and can be programmed, but it doesn't turn on as programmed and the "manual" mode button no longer works). The other one intermittently has the same issue, and when it stops working, I don't get a warning (the time still displays) - I don't know that it has stopped until the plants start dying. Not acceptable in a summer with 30 consecutive 100-degree days. Unfortunately, I was out of the return period, and Orbit is not responsive on the warranty. It's a great user interface and if it worked I would really like it, but I won't be buying from this company again.

Assume maximum 2 year lifespan
I like these timers because they're inexpensive and easy to use. Unfortunately when it comes to watering devices, there's no market for truly durable and long-lasting stuff - it would be too expensive - despite the complexity of controlling water at high pressure in a challenging outdoor environment. Hence the mixed reviews and disappointment for most of the watering devices sold here. (But would the same folks pay two or three times as much for better gear?) These timers are no exception. One in four or five is defective, and after two seasons' use, they leak like crazy. But given the price, they're an OK deal. You just have to assume they'll need replacing every other year.

Does a great job
We live on an acre with quite a few trees, flowers and shrubs. There are eight hoses hooked up to eight watering systems that water everything. I have a timer on every one. The worry of forgetting to turn off any hose after it's designated time is taken care of. Before getting these timers, I can't tell you how many times one particular area would get flooded before I remembered to turn it off. We live in the desert and water is precious. I bring them in during the Winter and they are out and being used Spring through Fall. I am on the third year of use for them. Still going strong.
You get what you pay for.
I bought this timer for about $13. It worked flawlessly for about 2 months. But now, the flow will not shut off anymore. It stays wide open after the timer gets to zero time. I am now a bit more shy about buying a 'cheap' timer again. Saving a few bucks now might cost me many more bucks if the water won't cut off when I want it to. Just my 2 cents worth....

The last USA mfg of quality watering products
Dramms owner must get sick when he walks down the aisle of hose items. 999% chinese junk that lasts 6 months.

Dramm makes great stuff for a few bucks more than recyle ready Chinese debri.

I wrap my dramm nozzles in heavy tape or cork and tape and they last forever because when the kid drops it, it never breaks.

Dramm take note: dip your plastic nozzle units in a foam wrap. Or add a rubber ring. And hang a tag with a US flag on it so we KNOW its not a part of the Asian sabotage of our manufacturing.

Terrific
This nozzle puts out a lot of water in a very gentle stream perfect for watering potted plants. You'll be surprised at how fast your flowerpots fill.
Instant rain

Works fine and inexpensive
Works fine to fill water balloons, which is what I wanted it for. Quality is good and it's inexpensive so five stars. Most people want this for its "jet" and it's fine for that too. For filling water balloons though, I prefer the Nelson Brass Sweeper Nozzle 50161 on the end of a Gilmour 572TFR Commercial Insulated Grip Nozzle with Threaded Front, Red. The lip on the Nelson nozzle helps hold the balloon and the spring loaded handle on the nozzle makes it easier to control the water flow. The second system is a tad more convenient, but at more than twice the cost.
Great shut off, flow not stronger than my multi spray pattern nozzle.
The plus: The smooth operating lever creates a linear increase in water flow and a complete shut off. It's also reliable: I had left it on my hose and forgot to shut off the water supply --- for two months. When I came outside, there wasn't as much as a single drip from the nozzle and when I pushed the lever to the open position, it delivered a steady, powerful stream. Now, the negative. I was looking for a nozzle that would [hopefully] create a small stream that by hydrodynamics would create a stronger/longer flow of water than a conventional nozzle. Sigh, it was just about the same as my regular multi-pattern nozzle. In other words, I don't need this nozzle, even though it is very well built.

DIdn't seem very solid plastic but I am surprised by how well it seems to be working. Delivers an even spray even on very low water pressure. Difficult to find good sprinklers for very small areas, a lot of them seem to think 200 sf is a small area, but I need ones that work in just 30 or 40 sf. So if it holds up in the long run I will be very pleased with it (actually at that price I could afford to replace it periodically)
Flimsy on bottom
It is a very cute sprinkler with a good range of water, however the steak is very flimsy and mine broke very easy spraying water out the bottom. It is a good product but you need to be gentle or not have kids that run through the sprinkler to kick and step on it.

Attractve & Functional Sprinkler
We have both piped canal irrigation and piped well water where we live . I bought 2 of these sprinklers hoping to use them in some of my flower beds. Alas, my irrigation does not have enough pressure to use them. If we had a pump attached to the irrigation system I think they would work fine. They do work very well with the well water system (there's a pump of couse)-- they spray a fine mist over a large area. I recommend these if you have enough water pressure.

Perfect for B
I bought this for my daughter's b-day party. It was great. It had the perfect spray forthe girls to jump over. I was concerned about the spike breaking. It is not the thickest or sturdiest thing but, I had nothing to worry about. I now use it in my garden it is just the right size for my grow boxes. I had hoped for pink because it is my daughters favorite color but, the orange one I received is a color that I like.

Just screw this onto any standard male threaded hose end or 3/4 threaded pipe end and you get a pressure reading. Seems to be solid construction. Has a rubber washer for a pressure fit and no tape needed.

Excellent Product and Value for Money
I bought this Rain Bird P2A Water Pressure Gauge because I need to measure the water pressure in the house before deciding on various types of Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtering system. If your water pressure is above 45 PSI, then you can buy a RO system without a pressure pump, which is more costly.

This water pressure gauge is great. I attached it to the faucet that normally connects to my washing machine's water inlet via a rubber hose. You must install the provided O-Ring correctly so that there will be no water leakage. There is no instruction on how to do this. You should tighten the gauge to the faucet using a wide-opening plier.

If you get water inside the meter face, it is not normal. You should get it replaced. This does not happen to mine. As stated on the web page, this thing is NOT returnable because it is a closeout item.

Instruction guide has gross errors
After dealing with two consecutive Rainbird timers which failed for the same reason - the timers were remarked to reflect power ratings of less than half those stated in the manual - I learned the hard way what not to get. Rainbird tech help is virtually non-existent. So I have tried Toro. Simply wanting a basic timer, I got the 53806. Unfortunately, in this digital age where hype and frills seem to dominate the market, something as simple as turning a switch on or off may entail understanding pages of detailed instructions and embedded sequences. Fortunately, this Toro is quite user friendly in this area, and setting the program is very basic and intuitive, especially compared to the nightmare rainbird. Although just installed, and not time tested, the Toro functions as expected. Easy to install, and simple to operate. I would give them 5 stars for getting it right on the basics.

Just the basics... done well.
This is a simple controller at a rock-bottom price. I own both the 4 channel and 6 channel versions.

As mentioned in another review, do NOT use the screw template; it is wrong. Measure 5 inches instead. Also, I would recommend hooking up the unit FIRST to the sprinklers THEN adding the battery and AC power. Seems like you are asking for an RMA if you power up first.

Negatives: Does not allow you to add a pause between zones. This might be necessary if you water from a cistern. The rubbery buttons do not have sufficient debounce, but considering how rarely you need the buttons, this is no big deal. The feature which allows you to seasonally shorten or lengthen the cycles uses integer arithmetic: If you combine a low percentage with a short watering time, the result may be NO watering time at all. The manual modes are not very intuitive; you will have to consult with the booklet.

Positives: the case is nice-looking and sturdy. The display is clear and...
Flexible programming like you never seen before
If you're used to old style programming, you pick days of the week, and minutes per station. This one is so flexible, and the manual too sparse, that I couldn't figure out what programs ABC were for. Also difficult to find help on the web.

Each program SHOULD control a different set of solenoid valves.

If you water with all your stations on the same days, just configure Program A, and keep BC set to 0 minutes, or no watering days.

If you screw up like I did, and make programs ABC all the same, it will run "consecutively" and you will have a big water bill. If you notice it running when you don't expect, you may have inadvertently programmed more than just a program A.
