Do not use
I tried these to replace my brass automatic actuator and they constantly failed. Tried three separate ones and all did the same. I am back to buying the more expensive ones.

Excellent valve, easy to install
If you are converting a manual sprinkler valve to electric, this is the way to go. I had been using RainBird in-line actuators for years, but they were constantly in need of repair or cleaning. Replaced them with these units last summer, and I think they will last pretty much forever. Just a better design, and I like the "on-off" lever feature.
Electric Sprinkler Converter Valve
If you need this device to fix your old irrigation or sprinkling vacuum breaker valve, nothing else is available. Buy all you can buy since nobody is making these units anymore. Some of mine have held up for 25 years. Enough said.
